Outpouring of concern for family
Lieutenant-Colonel Asiza Mandongana hands over a parcel to the parents of Olwehtu Khumalo (3), Petros and Cindy. Olwethu died of chicken pox, but signs showed that she was raped before her death.

MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The community has abounded in sympathy and care for the family of Olwehtu Khumalo (3), a girl who died of chicken pox last week.

After her death, indications were found that she was raped. 

The KwaNonqaba Police last week visited the Khumalo family to show their support. A case of rape is being investigated.

According to the spokesperson of the KwaNonqaba Police, Sgt Kappie Kapp, they received an outpouring of kindness from the community regarding the death of the toddler.
