MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Mossel Bay’s very own Stellie Taute was officially announced as a finalist for Mrs South Africa 2025 on Friday evening, 4 July.
The semi-finals, hosted by Hotel Sky in Sandton, began last Wednesday, 2 July. The top 30 finalists, Taute among them, were announced at Emperors Palace on Friday evening.
She is now in the final running for the Mrs South Africa crown, which event will be held in November.
“I am still very overwhelmed that I made the top 30. I am still processing it,” said Taute to Mossel Bay Advertiser.
“From the very first workshop we had as contestants of Mrs South Africa, we were told we were a very strong group and that it was going to be difficult to judge us all. My name was actually called out third to last. At that point, I had already left it all up to God and would have had peace with whatever the outcome was.”
Taute said she was thankful to her husband, family and her friends for their support along her Mrs South Africa journey.

“I especially want to thank the Loka team [Taute is the founder and owner of a clothing design company, Loka], Elani Pretorius of ACE Models George and Mossel Bay, and my mentor, Lechar Knezovich.
“I also want to thank the Mrs South Africa management team for all their love and guidance.”
A statement by PR Worx on behalf of Mrs South Africa quoted the CEO, Joani Jacobs: “This year’s batch of 30 were simply astonishing. We’ve seen them go from women already beaming with confidence but unsure how best to direct their strengths into powerful leaders who can command a room and bring about change through sheer force of will.
“Each of the semi-finalists who had been with us from the beginning have the ability to impact their communities and help change the world forever. We look forward to seeing what else the journey of life holds for them.”
