KWANONQABA NEWS - Three men have been arrested by the KwaNonqaba Police following an armed robbery at a shop in Adriaans Avenue, KwaNonqaba on Friday 16 January.
According to Southern Cape Police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Chris Spies, one employee was inside the shop when the three suspects entered.
According to Spies, one of the suspects was allegedly in possession of a firearm.
He says a preliminary investigation suggests that an altercation took place, leading to the firing of several gunshots.
The victim has sustained injuries to his legs. An unknown amount of cash and cellphones were also stolen.
The three suspects are currently in police custody and are expected to appear in the Mossel Bay Magistrate's Court once they are charged.
Investigation into the matter is still ongoing.
