MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Ntombi MamQoco Sitonga of KwaNonqaba turned 100 years old on Friday, 28 April.
She was born in Lady Frere, near Queenstown, in the Eastern Cape.
Mossel Bay community leader, human rights activist and pageant organiser, Vuyolwethu Mfumbe, who often acts as a master of ceremonies at events, was asked to officiate at the birthday celebration.
He said: "We thank God for blessing us in our community with Mama Sitonga. She is a strong struggle icon."
"I was also invited to be part of her birthday celebration last year in her lovely warm home."
