MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The KwaNonqaba Police confiscated some money and just over 60 litres of alcohol from an illegal liquor outlet in the Phelandaba informal settlement in 7de Laan on Saturday evening, 8 November.
Warrant Officer Kappie Kapp, the station’s spokesperson, said a 42-year-old man was found to be selling liquor without a licence and was arrested on the spot.
The police seized the money and alcohol, and the man is expected to appear in the Mossel Bay Magistrate’s Court soon.
Kapp went on to urge the public to sell and deal in liquor legally, by applying and going through the proper channels.
He urged the public to report outlets suspected of selling liquor illegally to the KwaNonqaba Police Station: Call 08600 10111 or the KwaNonqaba Community Service Centre on 044 605601.
