MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Carin-Marie Conradie has a love affair with paint.
"As long as I can remember, I've had a deep love and passion for paint and beautifying. A fresh paint brush is the order of the day," Carin-Marie enthuses.
"Ten years back, in Hartebeespoort, I used to paint on canvas, but since being back in Mossel Bay, decorative paint projects with special techniques and effects became my hobby. I am originally from Mossel Bay.
"When I fell in love with paint, I did a training course in art and decorative paint techniques and the rest was research and experimentation."

She is sparkling, fun and full of zest. There are many creative ideas swirling in her head.
Carin-Marie says: "I've learned to share my knowledge about my hobby. Creating your own finishes is lots of fun and tremendously rewarding. And it doesn't have to be expensive."
Her advice: "Be inspired by things from the environment, throw in some creativity and a little bit of fun and you will have a fabulous product."
She says current trends include many bold colours and patterns. "Also, don't be shy to use metallic paints."
Further advice: "Start with a small piece of wood to see if you feel good about the paint effect and colour combination, before you use the technique on your wall or furniture."
Carin-Marie is creating a blog to share her tips and techniques.
