GREAT BRAK RIVER NEWS - A 26-year-old woman who allegedly stabbed a man in the chest with a broken bottle neck, Veronica Remas, has been remanded in custody after she appeared in the Great Brak River Periodical Court on Friday 4 September.
According to Great Brak River Police, a 31-year-old man was walking in Wolwedans on the evening of 29 August when he came upon an unknown male and an argument between the two ensued.
It is alleged that the 26-year-old woman happened upon the argument and thought the two were fighting. It was reported to the police that when the victim tried to explain the situation to Remas, she stabbed him in the chest.
The wounded man ran to safety, fainting on his way home, and was taken to hospital where he reportedly received 32 stitches to close up the wound.
Remas was arrested by Great Brak Police on 2 September, making her first appearance in court on 4 September.
The matter has been postponed to 11 September for a formal bail application.
