MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The annual Round Table Mossel Bay 32 Polar Plunge took place on Friday, 14 July, as part of the Round Table Southern Africa Winter Knights initiative.
The event was at the tidal pool at the Point at 20:00. Each year it serves as a call for donations to assist communities in need. The community supports the brave Round Tablers who plunge into the icy water of the tidal pool.
Round Table collected clothes, blankets and canned food for the needy.
Round Table chairman AB Tromp says the men had a lot of fun. "We were pleasantly surprised with the number of people who arrived to take the plunge and the number of donations we received for our Winter Knights project."
Tromp says Round Table 32 hosts the plunge at the tidal pool each year, because of its involvement in building the wall structure at the tidal pool many years ago.
