MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Although it was a difficult year for Garden Route High School matriculant Sophumelela Sidumo, he was announced as the school's second top achiever on Tuesday 13 January, thanks to his final matric exams.
Sidumo told Mossel Bay Advertiser 2025 was a tough year because of all of the pressure, especially to keep his spot as the top achiever throughout.
He said he had been expecting to be either the top performer, or at least second.
Sidumo said his teachers and the principal, Edgar Gelembe, had helped him throughout the year to keep up his marks.
He plans on beginning his studies in BCom accounting at the University of Johannesburg and, once completed, he would like to study law at the University of the Western Cape.
