MOSSEL BAY NEWS AND VIDEO - The Euro Invasion 2023 - South Africa, organised by legendary skydiver Jörg Schmidt, boast a number of locals and skydivers from Europe, United States, Australia, New Zealand and many more. Schmidt has been organising the events for 20 years all over the world.

Mossel Bay residents had the opportunity to see these skydivers perform different disciplines such as free flying, head down and formation skydiving.

This spectacular event took place from 18 February and lasted until Saturday, 24 February, at the Mossel Bay aerodrome in Aalwyndal.

It is an extremely weather dependent sport and skydivers could not jump on Monday and Tuesday morning due to weather conditions and very high winds.

But with good weather they jumped up to a height of 4,2km (14 000feet).

Skydive Mossel Bay spokesperson Monica Biesenbach said: "The event and Skydive Mossel Bay was super excited to be hosting an international event with some of the world's top formation skydivers.
