MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Four men (aged 21 to 29) were arrested following the armed robbery of a 21-year-old woman in Alhof Drive, Mossel Bay, on Sunday morning, 14 September.
The Southern Cape Police’s spokesperson, Sergeant Chris Spies, said the woman had been walking to work that morning when she was accosted by a man with a firearm at about 06:30.
He said the man stole the woman’s iPhone, jumped into a vehicle and fled the scene. Members of the Mossel Bay Police Station, KwaNonqaba Police Station and the Mossel Bay Municipality Law Enforcement’s K9 Unit were deployed and a search for the vehicle began, which led to the four suspects being arrested later that day.
An imitation firearm believed to have been used during the robbery was also recovered.
The four are expected to appear in the Mossel Bay Magistrate’s Court today on a charge of robbery.
