KWANONQABA NEWS - The man accused of the murder of 22-year-old Onam Nqumasile made his first appearance in the Mossel Bay Magistrate's Court on Monday 5 January.
Nqumasile was fatally shot in KwaNonqaba on New Year's Day.
Following the shooting, Tshepo Malope (37) was arrested by KwaNonqaba police on Saturday 3 January.
According to KwaNonqaba Police Spokesperson, Warrant Officer Kappie Kapp, witnesses reportedly saw Malope and Nqumasile arguing, which then escalated when Malope allegedly pulled out a firearm and shot the victim.
The motive for the shooting is not yet known at this stage.
The matter has been postponed to Tuesday 20 January where proceedings for a formal bail application will begin.
Malope has remained in police custody since his arrest.
