MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Diaz Beach has officially been closed to the public due to hazardous conditions along it following the recent storms in Mossel Bay and across the Garden Route.
The Mossel Bay Municipality issued a notice of closure on its Facebook page this morning, 20 May. The area of closure stretches from the Blue Waters to Twee Kuilen.
The municipality said the closure was done in terms of its seashore and sea by-law. The beach was closed with immediate effect until further notice, and until the repairs are undertaken.
“The municipality appreciates the community’s co-operation and support in these difficult times to ensure the safety of the community and beach-goers,” it said.
