MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The Da Gamaskop Police in Mossel Bay have opened a culpable homicide docket following the death of a 31-year-old man in Mayixhale Street, KwaNonqaba on Thursday 25 December.
According to Southern Cape Police Spokesperson Warrant Officer Chris Spies, preliminary reports suggest that the vehicle was travelling along Mayixhale Street in the direction of Louis Fourie Road, when it left the road and collided with concrete barriers before it overturned.
On arrival at the scene, one person was found inside the bakkie who had sustained serious injuries.
"He was declared dead by paramedics on scene," said Spies. Another person is believed to have been in the bakkie as well.
Da Gamaskop detectives are further investigating the matter.
