MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The Mossel Bay Municipality recently launched six new play areas for the town's children. Municipal spokesperson Rowena Hendricks says the aim of the play areas is to get the children off the streets.
Hendricks says the municipality wants the children of Mossel Bay to be able to play in a healthy and safe environment.
The play areas all include swings, jungle gyms, and a seesaw.
The municipality provided the playgrounds in Friemersheim, Great Brak River, Joe Slovo, KwaNonqaba, in Mooney Street at the back of the Civic Park Creche and also in New Street. The overall cost of the project was R515 000.
