MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The Mossel Bay Community Soup Drive is a non-profit organisation which provides a cooked meal once a week and soup once a week to people in need in the Highway Park area of KwaNonqaba.
Woolworths in Langeberg Mall donates ingredients for the cooked meal on an ongoing basis.
The soup drive relies on donations and its own resources to buy ingredients to make the soup.
To raise funds, the Community Soup Drive supplies soup for functions. People holding the function pay for the soup and the NPO uses these funds to buy ingredients to make soup for the needy.
Most recently the soup drive supplied soup for a Mossel Bay Business Chamber function and for a beauty pageant.
If you would like to order soup for a function and thereby support this charity, contact William Sam (082 387 6340).
You are also welcome to donate ingredients. They will be appreciated greatly, William says.
