More young ones learn about water safety

MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Last week, even more learners at local schools were empowered by the NSRI's WaterWise Academy, which aims at teaching greater water safety among the youth.

Liza Wigley from WaterWise present these workshops free of charge, thanks to a generous sponsorhip by the Department of Agriculture.

The workshop includes safety tips on how to safe a friend's life, without endangering your own and the importance of knowing the emergency number (10177).

The material also deals with rip currents, how to spot them an how to survive them when caught in ons. Learners were also shown basic CPR.
