MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Mossel Bay's Deon Lensing has been crowned Sir South Africa 2023 and Sir Universe South Africa 2023.
The crowning for these Pageants SA titles took place in Pretoria on 1 April.
Deon was a top 10 finalist in Mr South Africa last year.
A press release from Pageants SA noted that it was the 24th annual crowning event of the Miss & Mr Junior South Africa and Universal and Sir South Africa pageant.
Started in 2000
"The pageant was started in the year 2000 by Carolyn Baldwin. More than 8 500 winners have been crowned in various Pageants SA events and together with the winners and titleholders, more than 500 000 charity events have been held, thereby helping more than four million people to date."
In the pageant, each contestant's interview by the judges was followed by a casual wear and evening wear ramp walk.

He then left construction to work as a financial adviser.
