MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Cape Townian, Morné Pieter, who visited Mossel Bay, is warming hearts with rocks he paints and then places strategically in the municipal area for people to find.
Pieter has created a kindness rock group on Facebook for people who are going through hard times or simply need a small "pick me up", as he calls it.
"I am out to spread a bit of happiness through decorated rocks." Morné leaves the rocks in a public place such as a park or on the beach for someone else to find with the hope of brightening their day a little.
"I would love to know if you found one of my rocks. On the back of my rocks, I usually ask you to share a photo at Morné Kindness Rocks on Facebook."
He says it is also nice to know where it was found, as sometimes rocks travel quite a bit from their original location.
"Once you have done that, you can choose to keep the rock or you can put it somewhere else for another person to find and enjoy."
This is an example of a rock that Morné Pieter left for someone to find.
Each rock has a message at the back.
