BUSINESS NEWS - TEDxGeorge is thrilled to announce its inaugural event, a gathering of the brightest minds and innovators to share ideas that can shape the future. Scheduled for October 5, 2024, from 9 AM at the Dotsure George Arts Theatre, this event marks the beginning of an annual tradition where thinkers and doers converge to explore a wide array of topics, from technology and entertainment to science, humanities, business, and development.

Themed “The Brave Ones,” this event celebrates local heroes and heroines who have continuously taken bold steps in their respective fields.

These individuals may not always receive widespread recognition, but their impactful efforts are at the heart of their focus. By providing a platform for them to share their stories, activities, and future aspirations, they hope to inspire and empower others to reach their highest potential, despite the challenges they may face.

TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) has become synonymous with ground-breaking ideas and inspirational talks. In the spirit of "ideas worth spreading," TEDxGeorge emerges as a local platform, part of the global TEDx program, where individuals can come together to share transformative ideas.

Leading up to their main event, they will host a series of “Salon” events—smaller, more intimate gatherings focusing on key topics in a relaxed setting. These events are free and open to the public, providing an excellent opportunity to build the TEDx community and prioritize engagement, idea-sharing, and empowerment. Over the next few months, these events will take place at various locations across the city, with the first kicking of this week, Thursday - 8 August at the George Museum, from 18:00 – 20:00.
