"I believe that one light fixture can change your whole room!" says Maryka Steyn, owner of Mossel Bay Lighting, which opened its doors in Robbie Scholtz Street, Da Nova, in July.
She has a profound love for décor and especially lighting, having grown up in a family business where she was taught the ins and outs of this industry from a very young age. After nine years working for her father, Maryka decided to spread her wings and so, Mossel Bay Lighting was born.
What sets her new business apart from many others, is the personal attention she invests in all her customers. Mossel Bay Lighting offers much more than a mere showroom – where one could easily feel overwhelmed by such a wide range of light fixtures that are all beautifully displayed against realistic backdrops, the customer is invited to browse through the various options in a luxurious lounge area.
Maryka will then determine the customer's needs and taste in décor and show them pictures in books and brochures to help them visualise what they're looking for.
But it doesn't end there – Maryka will bring a sample to your home or building site to help you choose a product, and she will liaise with the architects and builders to see that the light fixture of your choice is fitted correctly.
She uses and recommends the professional service of CBS Electrical, situated in the same building as Mossel Bay Lighting, as they are qualified electricians and experts in installing light fixtures.
They offer the following suppliers' products: Regent Lighting, Radian Lighting, Bright Star Lighting, K-Light Import, Eurolux and an exclusive range of South African home-made light fixtures.
