Historiese huis gerestoureer
Ry mens rond in die Mosselbaai-area en veral in Groot-Brakrivier, sien mens gereeld die "van" Searle, hetsy op 'n gebou of straatnaam. Daar is Searle's Village, Searle familie begraafplaas, Searle Gedenkkerk in Langstraat. Die historiese huis Fairholm op Groot-Brakrivier, is gebou in 1916 en as trougeskenk deur Charles junior aan sy dogter Emily gegee. Die laaste paar jaar het die huis egter verval en die nuwe eienaar het besluit om die historiese gebou te restoureer.
