SPORT NEWS - A group of 22 dancers from Steps Dance Academy in Hartenbos, participated in the Talent Africa national competition, held during the October School holidays in Sasolburg.
The students from Steps Dance Academy represented the Western Cape Performing Arts team, after qualifying earlier this year in the regional competition.
In total the dancers received 16 platinum awards, 16 gold and 10 silver medals.
The dancers from Steps Dance Academy that represented the Western Cape Performing Arts team are Lyche van der Westhuizen, Kaylee Botha, Tehane Roux, Mari Gerber, Miné Jenkinson, Keira Meiring, Anna du Plessis, Mari du Toit, Elisheva Steinhobel, Cara Spies, Lienke du Toit, Miné Wessels, Stef Meyer, Leah Smithers, Alivia-Lin Roux, Taylor Smith, Imke Pretorius, Isabella Jacobs, Lirina Brandt, Amy Lombard, Lieke le Roux and Mia Botha.
These dancers also qualified to represent South Africa at the 2024 international competition in New York.
