MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The management teams of the Mossel Bay Municipality and Transnet National Ports Authority at the harbour this week had fruitful discussions on the way forward.
Mossel Bay Municipality's executive mayor, Alderman Dirk Kotzé, and the Mayoral Committee and municipal directors met on Wednesday, 2 March with the new Mossel Bay port manager, Dr Dineo Mazibuko, and her management team.
The groups shared their strategies for 2022 and explored interfaces for projects envisaged.
Dr Mazibuko stressed that it was crucial for TNPA to reduce the cost of doing business and to promote infrastructure development in the port so that economic development could be stimulated, while pursuing diversity in the business environment.
Alderman Kotzé explained the municipality's GROW strategy and also referred to the Mossel Bay MAD (Making a Difference) project that has just been launched.
Both management groups agreed that good mutual relations were crucial so that the projects envisaged could be carried out successfully.
