MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The Talent Africa regional finals were held in Mossel Bay on Saturday, 13 August.
There were 142 items which included various types of dance, singing, six modelling categories and speaking. The judging was at Curro Mossel Bay private school.
It was the first time regional finals had taken place in the Southern Cape.
Karen Gray, the owner of Crawlers & Crowns Model Academy and Deon Lensing, a Mr South Africa entrant this year, are the organisers and coordinators of the Southern Cape regional final.
Gray said the singers in the competition were particularly talented. She also mentioned that one of her academy models, Marsha Walker (16), achieved "high gold", which is the highest rating a model could receive.
"She will go on to Top Model SA," Gray said. "All the models achieved gold in their various sections," Gray said.
The national Talent Africa finals take place in Cape Town on 13 October.
