She then entered the finals of Talent Africa in Sasolburg in Gauteng. She qualified again with her solo dance and was invited by Talent Africa to go to New York or Spain to compete in international competitions in July 2024.
Anna received a platinum medal for her group ballet dance. She will also receive her Western Cape colours after her Talent Africa performance.
At the end of October Anna did a stringent ballet exam to go to her next grade and achieved 94%.
Anna's mother, Tammy, said: "Anna has a very strong belief in God. She had to give up a lot this year and she knows God is rewarding her. She is truly gifted." Anna's best friend, Kiera Meiring, has been invited to compete in a competition in New York for tap dancing. She has also received her Western Cape colours and also does ballet with Anna. The girls have become like sisters through dance and support each other's talents and gifts.
Tammy added: "It's unbelievable to think they have achieved all of this in five months. "Anna's phenomenal teacher, Melody Ralph-Alers, has really helped her, pushed her and brought out the best in her.
"We will need to raise a lot of funds, as we want to go with her to New York. This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity will require hard work, help from friends, family and the public."
If anyone would like to donate to make Anna's dream come true, email Tammy (tammythecupcake@gmail.com) and to support Keira in her aspiration to compete overseas, email gert@cretus.net.
