MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The search for talent in this year's Mossel Bay's Got Talent showcase is in full swing and this far, has gone smoothly, until the Friday, 4 May auditions in Asla Park.
Sadly, the audience was disruptive to the point that auditions could not continue. According to the audition facilitators, the lights at the Asla Park community hall were switched off repeatedly by audience members who also refused to quieten down to allow those on stage to complete their auditions.
Following this behaviour and after several appeals, the auditions had to be called off.
Hopefuls from Asla Park will have to audition in the final round of auditions at the Mossel Bay town hall this Friday, 11 May. Auditions start at 19:00. Registration opens at 16:00 and ends at 18:30.
The semi-final event will take place at the Bravo Lounge on 2 June at 19:00. The entrance fee is R35.
The final takes place on Youth Day, 16 June, from 12:00 at the Mossel Bay town hall. Entrance is free.
The total prize money up for grabs is R30 000 - R10 000 per category. Categories are dance, singing and an open category (rap, poetry, bands, drama, instruments).
