Pixoto is global online photography community and competition that creates leaderboards of the best photos, as adjudged by their peers.
Mariska boasts the following prestigious awards:
* Dogs category for the Day of 10/13/13 - Day award top 5
* Dogs category for the Week of 10/13/13 - Week award top 9
* Top 5% in the Animals - Dogs category for the October 2013 - Month award
Currently she is rated in the Top 3% of all time.
Mariska took up photography about a 18 months ago and admits to having grown so much through the medium. Apart from the Pixoto awards, she has also twice won in the Rauch Gertenbach photo gallery and on their Facebook page.
"I love to experiment with my photos and capturing it in different ways. It's a great way to capture memories that surely will make you smile.
"This photo did it for me - have you ever seen a dog pulling its face like this when drinking water? What a great way to capture these images. Creation Photography is all about capturing the moments into a memory."
