Update: Father burns 2-year-old

MOSSEL BAY NEWS FLASH - The 2 year old baby girl who was badly assaulted by her 21-year old father with a belt was released from the Mossel Bay Provincial Hospital yesterday.

The victim sustained multiple injuries all over her body and was also allegedly burned with a warm object.

The child is in the care of family members.

The suspect appeared in court yesterday and will appear again in court on 8 July for a bail application.
