It was a low-scoring, high-drama weekend in the SWD Premier League, as defending champions Union Stars suffered a stunning 80-run defeat against neighbours Harlequins Forces. Brilliant bowling spells from Theodore Qusheka and Pheko Moletsane dismantled Union Stars I for just 51 runs. Union Stars II, however, kept their nerve in a thrilling 1-wicket victory over New Dawn Park, while the clash between Pacaltsdorp United and Sussex was abandoned due to rain.
