Dr Roelf Petersen, Managing Director of Radio Pulpit, is very excited that this radio station will broadcast in the Western Cape as Cape Pulpit.

SOUTHERN CAPE NEWS - Radio Pulpit has officially returned to the Western Cape's airwaves on 729AM and will broadcast under the name Cape Pulpit.
"This time we're here to stay! We wholeheartedly thank our Heavenly Father for this phenomenal miracle!" says a delighted Dr Roelf Petersen, Managing Director of Radio Pulpit.
Since 2006, Radio Pulpit has engaged in a struggle to obtain a broadcasting licence from ICASA for the 729AM transmitter in the Western Cape. It resulted in a Supreme Court case, during which the legal process made major breakthroughs in terms of the re-categorization of medium wave frequencies, to the benefit of all community radio stations in South Africa.
"It is not only a breakthrough - it's a miracle! Radio Pulpit is overjoyed that we could make a contribution in this regard, to the larger broadcasting community," says Dr Petersen.
The new radio station, Cape Pulpit, will be a separate radio station, with its own authentic Cape based executive board, management team, culture and presenters, but will still have the distinctive style of the flagship Radio Pulpit that listeners have come to love over the past 31 years.
Broadcasting will soon commence, once the Cape Pulpit team has been put together, and all legal formalities have been concluded.
