MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Thanks to their quick response, police managed to catch four burglars.

This happened when Const Norman Dilinjwa and Sgt Thandisizwe Mapete went out to a house break-in and theft complaint in July.

The two members from the Langeberg Dog Unit drove out to Dana Bay on the specific night at around 03:30, when they noticed a suspicious vehicle on the side of the road. They decided to investigate and as they approached the vehicle, the driver jumped out and started running.

The officers let their loyal dogs loose and the driver was tackled. They found three other suspects in the vehicle, as well as stolen items, such as gold medals, a laptop and a cellphone, among others. It turned out that the four suspects were the same men who had broken into a house in Dana Bay.

The suspects are also linked with other house break-ins and theft in the Great Brak River area.
