Southern Cape youngsters shine in Oubaai Tournament
Caylum Boon and Cameron Moralee.
SOUTHERN CAPE NEWS - It was exciting to see two of the Southern Cape's younger players, Caylum Boon (14) and Cameron Moralee (15), shooting 2 under par 70's to tie at the top of the leaderboard for last week's KeNako Junior Series tournament played at Oubaai.

The 18-year-old Christo Carstens finished in 3rd position with a 74.

Caylum's round included a remarkable 2 at the tough par 4 16th hole, where he sank his 6 iron from the fairway, followed by another 2 at the short 17th hole. Not too many players will have played 16 and 17 at Oubaai in a total 4 shots.

After his fantastic fairway shot at the 16th hole, Caylum's tee shot at the 17th hole lipped out for a hole in one. Cameron needed to birdie the par 5 18th hole to tie Caylum and he duly did this, sinking a curling 30 foot putt to the back pin position to finish his round in style.

Both of these boys were in the victorious Southern Cape U14 team that won the recent Fish River inter-provincial tournament.
Brandon Jooste won the Best Nett prize with a score of nett 72 off his 9 handicap.

Top Gross Scores: 70 Caylum Boon, Came-ron Moralee; 74 Christo Carstens; 75 James Pennington; 77 Michael Schutz; 78 Aidan Boon, Christian Els, Armand Lombard, Xillan Nel; 79 Damonn Tait.

Confidence scammers and extortionists have caused havoc in at least a couple of Mossel Bay men's lives lately, even resulting in a case brought before the Mossel Bay Court. Would you have the gumption to take a scammer to task, even if it meant that your identity could be exposed in a court of law?
YES: Ultimately, crime does not pay and you will be at the mercy of an extortionist for the rest of your life if you do not act.
